One of my every year favourites: Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhof Tyrell’s Edition Spätlese trocken Prädikatswein 2012

The 2012 Tyrell’s Edition is pale yellow in colour. It has a passive bouquet: In the foreground fruit-driven with apple and pear; nice minerality in the background. On the palate the same szenario: a apple and pear dominated foreground, backed up by subtle minerality. Medium to full bodied, well-integrated acidity and a long aftertaste. Good buy! Drink: 2013-2018.

Rating: 90 points.

Die 2012er Tyrell’s Edition zeigt sich hellgelb im Glas. Das Bouquet ist etwas passiv: vordergründig fruchtbetont, aber im Hintergrund schöne Mineralität. Im Mund das gleiche Szenario: ein apfel- und birnendominierter Vordergrund; gestützt von subtiler Mineralität. Mittlerer bis voller Körper, gut integrierte Säure und ein langer Abgang.
